Paintings and drawings are very precious families of works, usually issued during a continuous and intense creative process; are primarily a way for me to build up my feelings and thoughts on the upcoming artwork on site.

The title [a Rose is a Rose] is poetical and allegorical with its reference to art history. As a Rose measures a universe of feelings, the dimension of sensitivity in time is uniquely reflected in this artwork process.

These paintings are exposing to my eyes a unique space, this entrance, that question. This harvest of beauty and pain. This necessary route of catharsis to the revelation. - Athina Ioannou
